Samsung recently 룸 알바 worked with Frost & Sullivan to conduct a survey with 500 managers and executives working in companies or government organizations across the United States, in order to understand more about their mobile devices and applications in the workplace. When asked about the specific ways in which they used their phones while searching for jobs, these smartphone-toting job seekers reported using their mobile devices for a wide variety of purposes.

Smartphone job seekers without a college degree are significantly more likely to use their phones to perform relatively sophisticated tasks, such as completing online job applications (61% vs. 37% of college graduates). Some 47% of smartphone job seekers had trouble accessing job-related content because it was not displayed correctly on their phone, and a similar 47% had trouble reading the text on a job listing because it was not designed for mobile devices. Even with the number of smartphone owners who are using their phones for different aspects of the job search process, the experience of navigating this process on a smaller screen without a dedicated keyboard may prove to be challenging for many users.

For kids, who are often stuck with smartphones, those kinds of digital tasks may, unexpectedly, be novel experiences. With all these jobs, you can expect to spend a good chunk of time working either on the phone or the tasks that come from it. Note that you are still going to put in plenty of hours, and that you are going to have to be focused to do things well, but almost all management jobs are really jobs that you can do from any location that has an Internet connection and a phone.

It is one of those jobs that can either be done on a computer or on a phone, so you can turn that off when you feel you need to. Just because you can do your new job from your smartphone does not mean that you are committed to doing it all the time from your smartphone.

That means when thinking about technology deployments for your workforce, for business, for society, always make the mobile device the number one priority. Use is placing an enormous amount of pressure on businesses to get the way we work in line with how we live. For most people, technology in their personal lives is actually better than what they use in their jobs.

Smartphones and access to on-the-go Internet make a lot of our working lives more productive and flexible. With over five billion people connected to mobile services,2 digital and mobile connectivity are changing how we work, as well as how companies relate to their expanded workforces. Mobile technologies are connecting us with our families, friends, and businesses like few people imagined when the first modern smartphones emerged.

Mobile phones and the mobility devices that affect every aspect of our lives are also used efficiently by touchless access control systems. Thanks to apps, phones and mobile devices are used as keys at offices and in parking lots. In contactless access control systems, users create their mobile identities through the app, which they download to their phone or mobile device, and begin using.

Today, 51% of employees use a mandatory application on their phones to conduct their business, compared to 27% in 2011. Despite these strong results, smartphones are still provided less frequently (27 percent) than desktop PCs (62 percent) or laptops (43 percent) to employees, yet are the most used personal devices (73 percent) for work.

By equipping their employees now with smartphones, companies could see drastic improvements in productivity, workplace communication, time management, and work-life balance — all things that help drive a better bottom line. Our research shows companies who equip their employees with smartphones, tablets and mobile technologies have competitive advantages when it comes to hiring and retention — particularly in the retail and hospitality sectors, which have many digital natives. While smartphones can be powerful training tools if applied effectively, these reports about hyperconnectivity and tech proficiency conceal a deeper lack of digital skills.

AI is already being used in the workplace, in HR information systems, in legal support systems, and in marketing systems that assist businesses with communicating with employees and with prospective customers. HR information systems can help businesses make better hiring decisions and enhance performance management across an employees entire experience.

In addition to serving as a place to search and explore jobs, potential job seekers can use their social media presences to highlight relevant skills for potential employers. Chatbots can be used to hold initial conversations with job candidates, schedule interviews, submit new-hire paperwork, and assist in the onboarding process.

Through interviews with contingent workers around the country, I found that Internet connectivity is increasingly necessary for managing a variety of different types of work — far outside the reach of gig economy apps such as Uber and Postmates. As connectivity has become more mandatory for low-wage workers, phone companies serving that market segment have benefited from engaging in predatory integration. Consumers who could previously not afford the higher upfront costs of buying a smartphone, or whose unpredictable income meant that yearly contracts were unaffordable, now have access to smartphones and data plans on less-than-perfect credit, but on exploitative terms that make connectivity even more costly.

While many would like to work with a computer in front of them, or even with a more stationary setup at their office, some are working directly off of a smartphone, with no other equipment beyond maybe a laptop or extra screen. When combined with a reliable car, the willingness to put miles into walking, or an appreciable tech or language skills, working on smartphones could offer a steady stream of work. With an apprenticeship, you will learn alongside experienced colleagues in a paid position, working toward related qualifications that will provide you with the knowledge and understanding to perform better.

You are given a lot of freedom, can earn quite a lot with certain jobs if you put the work in, and you get to experience new things.
